The Motorcycle Instructor's Handbook - Steve Dixey &
Malcolm Palmer
This book covers most of the training courses
that a motorcycle instructor will deliver and also covers preparation for DSA
assessments. Produced by us as a course manual for the instructor training
courses we run. 350 pages, wire bound, with sections on teaching skills and
practical application of skills for both learner riders and the delivery of
training to full-licence holders. A total of 40 years practical experience has
gone into this book from people working at the sharp end of rider training
delivery.
The sections are:
Each of the sections covering learner and full licence holder training
have a series of key points for a motorcycle instructor to cover, illustrations
to help you visualise key teaching skills and then teaching points to help you
get the information across.
If you do not cover learner training, the
book can be supplied with the relevant sections only to special order or the
first section on Teaching, Learning and Assessment Skills can be supplied as a
stand-alone section.
The handbook is complemented by a Workbook (shown on the right) to help
your learning and guide you in the application of principles of teaching
practice. The books are wire comb bound with plastic covers and include colour
illustrations and photos.
